There are currently seven chickens and three distinct breeds in the garden. They spend most of their time in their coop and outdoor fenced in area. Their caretakers let them run around the garden with supervision. The chickens and materials for the coop were purchased by a grant from Just Food, a nonprofit that promotes food equality and education in the New York City region.
